SCIENTIFIC DATA

The beer yeast should be the only player during fermentation. This is why brewers need to make sure all beer-spoilage bacteria are fully eradicated, not just stunted. LYSOBIER kills those bacteria that spoil your beer.

LYSOBIER is especially effective against gram-positive bacteria and can be combined with other compounds to be effective against gram-negative spoilers.

Look at the effect of LYSOBIER on beer spoilers
Bottle fermenting beer inoculated with four beer spoilage bacteria:

  1. L. brevisimilis was eradicated after just 4 days
  2. P. inopinatus; was eradicated after 14 days
  3. L. brevis; was eradicated after 20 days
  4. L. lindneri was eradicated after 27 days

This graph shows a bottle conditioned beer inoculated with 4 common beer spoilage bacteria.
Reduction time is measured in hours after a dosage of 300mg/L.

The complete test ran for 35 days at 24 C. At 4°C the reduction time is 1.5 to 3.5 times slower.

LYSOBIER is made from 100% Pure & Natural Lysozyme

Lysozyme has been used in foods and fermented beverages for over three decades to naturally inhibit the growth of many spoilage organisms, increase a healthy shelf life and ensure food safety.

Lysozyme is the perfect natural alternative to synthetic preservatives for Organic, Artisinal and minimally processed foods. Lysozyme can replace the use of chemicals altogether, in many food and fermented beverage applications.

As a natural antimicrobial, Lysozyme is a key element in the immune systems' fight against infection. This natural polypeptide is found in the organs and bodily fluids of humans, animals and plants. Lysozyme is naturally present in (and can be isolated from) Mothers milk, tears, saliva, and even cauliflower juice, but the most important source from which Lysozyme can be extracted on an industrial scale is chicken albumen.

Extracted from free range hen egg whites using state of the art technology, Bioseutica’s LYSOBIER is a pure white, completely non-toxic, microcrystalline, odorless powder with a very slight sweetish taste.

Bioseutica is the only producer of Lysozyme with patented methods that are a certified process of no risk for the Avian Flu virus by Pasteur Texcell Institute. Bioseutica’s environmentally friendly manufacturing activities, located in Europe and the America’s, operate to the highest global standards of purity.

Without the use of any solvents whatsoever, our extraction plants use an absorption process with ion-exchange resin. Our refining plants are certified cGMP, ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001 and ISO 1801.
